Before and after: an old hot tub and its cover on a backyard deck, then the same deck with the tub and debris gone
Hot tub cut apart and hauled away, before and after
Recent job

An old hot tub, cut apart and hauled away.

This one had seen better days, so we cut it apart and hauled away every bit of it. The tub, the cover, the framing, the foam and the debris are all gone, and the backyard is clean and ready for whatever comes next.

Want the deck gone too?

We remove decks, sheds and fences as well. See deck removal.

What happens on removal day
  1. You switch the power off at the breaker before we arrive
  2. We drain whatever water is left in the tub
  3. If it won’t fit out in one piece, we cut it apart on site
  4. We haul off the shell, cabinet, cover and steps
  5. We clean up the pad or the deck where it sat

How it works

Three steps, one flat price.

1

Send a photo

Text a photo of the tub and the path out to the street to (586) 707-4959. A shot of the gate or the stairs helps a lot.

2

Get a flat price

One price that covers the labor, the cutting if it’s needed, and the disposal.

3

We take it out

Power off at the breaker, and we handle the draining, the cut-up, the haul-off and the cleanup.

Pricing

What goes into your price.

Every hot tub removal job is quoted as one flat number. These are the things that move it up or down.

Size of the tub

A two-person spa and a seven-person tub with a lounger are very different jobs.

Where it sits

On a patio near the driveway is easy. Up on a deck, sunk into one, or in a fenced back yard takes more.

Whether it has to be cut

If it won’t fit through the gate or around the house in one piece, we cut it apart on site.

What else is going

Adding the deck, the steps or the surround while we’re there is usually cheaper than a separate trip.

The quote is the price. If the job turns out bigger than the photo, we re-quote before we load a single thing, never after.

“I needed a 400 pound massage chair removed from my living room for disposal. A huge beautiful Amish made desk and dresser relocated. Watching these 2 perform what it took to accomplish this was worth the price just in entertainment. Absolutely great guys and if that wasn’t enough they asked if there is anything else they could do for me.”

Questions

Hot tub removal questions we get a lot.

Does the hot tub need to be drained first?
It helps, but it’s not required. If it’s still full, start draining it a day ahead if you can. Otherwise we drain what’s left when we get there.
Do I need to disconnect the electrical?
The power needs to be off at the breaker before we arrive. If the tub is hardwired and you’re not comfortable disconnecting it, have an electrician do it first. We don’t do electrical work.
Will it fit through my gate?
If it won’t fit in one piece, we cut it apart on site. Narrow gates and tight side yards are normal for us.
Can you remove the deck it sits on?
Yes. We tear down and haul away decks, steps and surrounds. Doing it the same day usually saves you money.
Do you remove the concrete pad?
Concrete pads aren’t part of a standard hot tub removal. Ask when you send photos and we’ll tell you your options.
Do you take above-ground pools too?
Yes. Walls, frame, liner, ladders and the pool deck. Drain it down first if you can.
